Description
Crossing Swiss Pattern Precision Files Swiss pattern files are designed for detail work, delicate finishing, and precise metal removal. They have strict manufacturing tolerances, are uniform in taper, points, sharp edges, dimensions and flatness. These files are made of the finest heat-tempered, chrome alloy steel. They are measured in length from the point where the teeth begin to the end of the file. The handle section (tang) is not included in the file length.
Half-round on two sides, with one side having a larger radius than the other. Tapered in width and thickness. Cut and usable to the point. Used primarily for filing interior curved surfaces. The double radius makes it possible to file at the junction of two curved surfaces or a straight and a curved surface. Double cut on both sides. Length is 6" (150mm). Width is 5/8" (16.0mm). Thickness is 11/64" (4.5mm). Available in 2 cuts; Cut 0 and Cut 2.
